My series of workshops, masterclasses and group sessions combine Alexander Technique with a range of themes, practices and approaches.

I love experimenting, and so I am always looking for lateral approaches to the challenges of daily life. I bring this attitude to all my group activities, drawing on my background in the arts, music, sport, business and social work.

Workshops are a great way to discover Alexander Technique for the first time, or a powerful complement to a one-on-one program of sessions.

Life can be complicated. Probably there is no escaping complexity altogether but we can work on our responses to it. Over a period of two hours, you will be guided through a series of simple exercises and experiences that reduce tension and increase awareness. You will learn practical, hands-on ‘keep it simple’ strategies and tools that you can apply immediately to your daily life. Through a combination of group activities and one-on-one Alexander Technique work, you are guaranteed to leave feeling more focused, energised and open.

This workshop is led by four highly skilled and passionate teachers of the Alexander Technique, an approach that keeps things simple while offering a myriad of other benefits and advantages that help you get through life. In addition each teacher brings very different specialisations to this unique collaboration: Carsten is a playwright and meditation teacher, David is a composer and artistic director, Dino teaches dance and works in production management for the dance and theatre scene and Martina is a pharmacist and also has a Masters in Public Health.

Death & Alexander Technique

presented at the Altesmuseum

Through sharing, practical exercises against the background of Alexander Technique, and movement, this workshop encourages a better understanding and perception of one’s body. Themes such as life expectancy and dealing with the passing of a person close to you are discussed and explored in smaller groups.

This is a unique opportunity to experience Alexander Technique and explore the important theme of death surrounded by Berlin's major collection of antiquities.

Prior registration essential at least three working days before the workshop. Limited number of participants.
